me : “what is that?”
Pam : “beet upside-down cake”

“Next here we’ve got our pork belly. This is one of our specials tonight. It also gets our same house spice rub, and it’s smoked for eight to ten hours. We use Hampshire pork for our pork belly. It’s a wonderful heirloom breed. It has a rich, sweet, but mild-flavored meat.”

working on a story about ice cream in winter, eton (of eton too) kindly made me a shaved ice with maple syrup, condensed milk and apple. yes!
looks like sushi, but its fruit + barely sweet thai ice cream!
